Groups & Workshops
Skills for Safer Living (SfSL) is now at Kickstand Edmonton
with new cycles running this spring and summer
Skills for Safer Living is a free 4-week group program for young people ages 12–24 who are experiencing suicidal thoughts or have previously made a suicide attempt.
Each weekly session runs 90 minutes and creates a safe, non-judgmental space to talk, learn coping strategies, and build skills for managing difficult moments.
A separate group runs alongside for support persons (anyone 18+ who supports a young person), giving caregivers the knowledge and tools to show up with confidence and compassion.
While it’s encouraged that both attend, each can participate independently.
This program is completely free. No referral needed. Open to Alberta residents only.
