What you’ll find at Kickstand Edmonton

Our services are completely free; no referral needed, and we never turn anyone away. You’ll find a wide range of support, from groups and workshops to spaces where you can just hang out.

We have different areas designed for every need: multipurpose rooms where young people can come together to have fun and play games like Dungeons & Dragons, and private, soundproof rooms where you can speak with a counselor in confidence.

It’s a safe, welcoming space that respects all cultures and is inclusive to everyone.

At Kickstand Edmonton – operated by YMCA, we acknowledge that we are on Treaty 6 territory, a traditional meeting ground, traveling route, and gathering place for Cree, Saulteaux, Blackfoot, Métis, Dene, and Nakota Sioux peoples. We acknowledge all the many First Nations, Métis, and Inuit whose footsteps have marked this land for centuries. As organizations, we strive to align our daily operations with the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada and the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. We are committed to the recommendations in the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and work daily towards reconciliation and continued decolonization.

If you or someone you know is in crisis, contact emergency services (9-1-1) now.
