Health Week at Kickstand!
We’re thrilled to continue our unwavering support for young people navigating life’s challenges. Mental Health Week holds a special place in our hearts, providing us with an opportunity to reinforce our dedication to fostering the mental well-being of young people across Alberta.Â
This year, our theme is “Fostering Compassion Through Connections.“ Compassion serves as a transformative force, guiding individuals through the complexities of mental health with understanding and acceptance. It creates a safe space where strengths and struggles can be embraced without judgment, illuminating paths of self-discovery and acceptance.Â
During Mental Health Week, from May 6 to May 10, we’ll be hosting interactive sessions to remind young people that they’re not alone. Our workshops sessions through Kickstand Connect, will cover topics on youth engagement, mental health, substance use, peer support, and the importance of compassion for family and caregivers.Â
